Underground nightmare

Recomiendo vivamente una visita a la antigua estación de Metro de Chamberí, aunque tal vez en momentos más fresquitos. Es muy bonita, y sobre todo muy fotogénica. Fue la primera línea de metro que se construyó en Madrid, en 1919, obra del notable arquitecto Antonio Palacios. La foto, por supuesto, es una interpretación libre con reminiscencias Potterianas.

I strongly recommend a visit to the old Metro station of Chamberí, in Madrid, maybe in cooler moments because right now we have reached almost 40 Celsius degree. It’s beautiful and very photogenic. That was the first subway line built up in Madrid in 1919, by the famous architect Antonio Palacios. The picture, obviously, is a free interpretation, heavily influenced by Harry Potter.

Madrid Gay Pride

Esta semana el barrio de Chueca se convierte en foco de la celebración gay, el alcohol corre, la multitud suda y se divierte. Casi todos los años voy a fotografiar la famosa carrera de tacones, pero ayer no se celebró, no sé por qué, fue una decepción.

This week the neighbourhood of Chueca becomes the focus of the Gay Pride. Rivers of beer and spirits flow up, the crowd sweat and haber fun. Almost every year I shoot the famous Stiletto Race but yesterday it didn’t tale place, I ignore the reason, it was disappointing.

El sábado vi la exposición de Raúl Urbina en La Tabacalera de Madrid, Chicago. Sabido es que el fotógrafo solo ve lo que quiere ver, y la visión de Urbina es muy atractiva.

P.D. Esta entrada ha sido generada en un iPad mini en su totalidad. La foto fue tomada con cámara y después volcada en la tableta. Allí la convertí y ajusté ligeramente con Photogene. Lo peor ha sido el proceso de escritura, es demasiado penoso.

Last Saturday I went to Raúl Urbina’s exhibition, Chicago, in La Tabacalera of Madrid. You all know that the photographer sees wat he wants to see, and Urbina’s vision is very attractive.

The post has been created entirely in an iPad mini with the help of Photogene and I would be proud of it if it not were by the writing in a tablet, it sucks. 

Sunday evening in Alcalá

Como ya sabréis, he estado yendo a Alcalá de Henares para las conferencias del Campus PhotoEspaña. Alcalá es una ciudad antigua y hermosa, y su plaza Cervantes se convierte en animado patio de vecinos los domingos.

I have been going to Alcalá de Henares, a very nice town near Madrid, to attend the free lectures offered by PhotoEspaña. Alcalá is an old and beutiful town, and its citizens like to gather and gossip in Cervantes Square.
