Es el atardecer y suena estrepitosamente una sirena, me asomo a la ventana y veo una ambulancia parada en la plaza, se ve el pequeño remolino de gente usual en estos casos en torno a alguien tirado en el suelo. La inercia me hace coger la cámara, montar el tele y empezar a disparar.

It’s the sundown and a noisy siren is heard, I run to the window and see an ambulance in the square, the usual small bunch of people around someone lying on the ground. Out of habit I grab the camera, put the tele and begin to shoot.

Como suele pasar en estos casos la gente y los paramédicos discuten en torno al hombre.

As it happens, people and paramedics discuss about what to do.

Finalmente lo levantan y lo meten en la ambulancia, así que doy por terminada la historia.

Finally they pick up the man and put him into the ambulance, so I think the story is over.

Pero de repente algo está pasando, el remolino de gente se concentra ahora en torno a un perro, grande, hermoso. El accidentado tiene un perro y no saben qué hacer con él. Así que siguen discutiendo.

But all of a sudden something is happening, now the bunch of people surround a dog, big and handsome. The man had a dog, and people don’t know what to do with him, so they continue to discuss.

El perro se dirige a la ambulancia y entra, probablemente desde dentro le echan.

The dog goes to the ambulance and gets into, from the inside someone chases him out.

Finalmente un hombre de los del remolino se hace cargo del perro.

Finally a man from the bunch takes care of the dog.

La ambulancia se marcha, y el hombre y el perro se alejan. Fin de la historia.

The ambulance leaves, and man and dog get away in the distance. End of the story.
