Palermo es una ciudad con sorpresas de todo tipo. Ayer, Mario Vargas Llosa recibió el doctorado honoris causa, pero no estaba la Preysler, ay.
Palermo is a town which comes with surprises. Yesterday, Mario Vargas Llosa received at the University the honoris causa laudatio, but Preysler wasn’t there, pitty.
Ricoh GR
It arrived two days ago and I’m more than happy with it, the Ricoh GR. It gives me a total freedom to shoot street with a great quality, and it fits into a pocket. Photos below are not great but a sample of what I could do with such a beauty. Expect to see more.
U Fistìnu
Ayer fue la fiesta de Santa Rosalía, patrona de Palermo, fiesta que se celebra con procesión, profunda devoción, gran jolgorio y sobre todo mucha comida. Cuando una terrible peste negra devastó la ciudad en 1624 la santa llevaba muerta casi cinco siglos, lo cual no impidió que salvara a la ciudad de la tremenda peste ordenando que pasearan sus restos por las calles de la ciudad.
Yesterday it was Saint Rosalia celebration. The patron saint of Palermo is Saint Rosalia, who allegedly saved the city from a terrible black plague. It is said that during the plague (1624) she indicated where her remains were to be found. She ordered to bring her bones to Palermo and have them carried in procession through the city.
