No os creáis que en Italia los chicos van por la calle vestidos de Armani o Dolce&Gabana. Más bien os encontráis algo así.
Don’t think that in the Italian streets men stroll by wearing Armani or Dolce&Gabana. Probability is that you find something like this:
La parte vieja de Siracusa es una pequeña península llamada Ortigia, con mucho encanto, sobre todo por la noche cuando los turistas se han ido y por las callejuelas poco iluminadas sólo transitan los nativos. También hay restos de un teatro griego y de otro romano, pero nada que ver al lado de Taormina.
The old part of Syracuse is a small peninsula called Ortigia, full of charm and spell, specially by night when tourists have gone out and you only see locals through the narrow and scarcely lit streets and alleys. There are also the remains of two theaters, a Greek one and a Roman one, but they pale when compared to Taormina.
Las playas en invierno tienen un toque de melancolía que el blanco y negro acentúa aún más, pero no me pude resistir a la tentación de hacer algunos disparos. La verdad es que estaba en un apartamento de un lugar llamado Giardini Naxos, sin absolutamente nada que hacer una vez visto el gran teatro griego. Y bueno, esto es lo que había.
Beaches in winter have a melancholic touch which the black and white enhances still more, but I couldn’t resist to shoot some pictures. Truth is that I was in an apartment in a place called Giardini Naxos and once I had seen the Greek theater I had absolutely nothing to do.
Dentro de un rato viajo a Italia, son mis vacaciones. Primero a Roma, dos semanas. Después a Sicilia. Taller de fotografía con Ernesto Bazán durante nueve días, coincidiendo con la Semana Santa, y después quiero recorrer la isla, que no conozco, unas tres semanas. Si alguien tiene recomendaciones serán bienvenidas.
Tengo intención de seguir alimentando el blog con fotos italianas y comentarios del viaje. De momento os dejo una despedida madrileña.
In a while I will be flying to Italy, on holidays. First to Rome, two weeks. Then to Sicily. There I have a nine days photo-workshop with Ernesto Bazan to shoot the Easter processions, and then I want to tour the island for around three weeks. If someone has good tips about Sicily, they will be welcome.
